path - Trying to make a curvy line (path) and apply it to a circle

Question

I’m trying to learn freecad by doing a ring. I want an extrusion on the top of my ring but I want it to be like a zigzag.

I was able to easily do a sweep with a circle as the path but ended up with a strait extrusion.

How can I make this path to be not only a circle in the xz, but also like a curvy like a snake on the xy
