This issue is annoying which is hard to debug by breakpoint, I suggest you try some trick when app resign active as following, to apply for more time from system:

    __block UIBackgroundTaskIdentifier backgroundTaskIdentifier = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] beginBackgroundTaskWithExpirationHandler:^{
