要添加新的发行版，您必须在 中创建一个新目录/usr/lib/xen-tools，如xen-tools FAQs所述。

Squeeze 的xen-tools包没有脚本，但你可以从wheezy 的包precise中借用它们。

利用

dpkg -x xen-tools_4.3.1-1_all.deb

提取文件，然后precise.d移至/usr/lib/xen-tools.
