听觉样式表是供屏幕阅读器阅读的（因此是aural您在样式表开头看到的媒体类型），而不是供浏览器呈现的。这就是为什么你的浏览器什么也没说。

它们是视觉障碍人士的辅助工具，他们需要依靠听觉而不是视觉来浏览网站。

听觉样式表在 CSS2.1 规范中进行了描述，但已被CSS3 Speech Module取代。但是，尚不清楚这两种规范都存在什么样的支持，因为大多数使用的屏幕阅读器只是读取浏览器呈现和显示的内容。
