I have the following task in my build.gradle file:

task myTask(type:Exec) {
    def stdout = new ByteArrayOutputStream()
    exec {
        commandLine 'cmd', '/c', 'whoami'
        standardOutput = stdout;
    }
    println "Output: $stdout"
}

When I run my task with ./gradlew myTask, I get the following output:
