根据文档：

void send($string) - 发送$string到 SSH 服务器，不返回任何内容
将字符串发送到 SSH 服务器。

所以不要检查返回值，只需删除or die ..后面的部分send()：

$ssh->send("passwd");   # <-- no error code is returned here..
