我正在运行 Visual Studio 2010，并尝试使用更新向导更新我的实体框架项目。当我尝试从 MySql 数据库添加单个表时，添加选项卡将显示我尝试添加的表，但是当我单击完成时，我收到以下错误消息。

Unable to generate the model because of the following exception: 'An error occurred while executing the command definition. See the inner exception for details.
    Fatal error encountered during command execution.
        Fatal error encountered attempting to read the resultset.
            Reading from the stream has failed.
                Attempted to read past the end of the stream.

如果尝试从头开始创建实体框架，我会收到相同的错误消息。另外，Server Explorer在我测试的时候显示连接成功。

我还联系了托管数据库的 Host Gator，他们看不到任何问题。

问题最终是我们的共享服务器无法处理来自实体连接器框架的更新请求并且超时。一旦我们将数据库移到另一台服务器上，我们就不再有问题了。
