我目前使用的是 1.7，每当我收到“在非对象上调用成员函数 getBackend()...”错误时，通常是由于调用了错误的模型，或者将过滤器应用于某个属性该集合中不存在。

在测试您的代码后，如果我注释掉这一行，它就可以正常工作（主要是......）：

->addAttributeToFilter('is_featured', 1)

我的建议是仔细检查产品属性 id 是否存在于您当前的安装中，并将其设置为正确的范围（全局/正确存储？）。

如果它确实存在，另一种解决方案是手动选择特色产品，您可能想尝试使用：

Mage::getModel('catalog/product')->getCollection()
    ->addAttributeToSelect(array('name', 'url', 'small_image', 'price', 'short_description'))
    ->addFieldToFilter('is_featured', 1)
